1 About This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Bank Guard Android application ("the App"), developed and maintained by Tools for Office. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
2 Information We Do NOT Collect
Bank Guard requires no registration, no login, and no account. We do not collect, store, or transmit:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifier
- Your bank account details, card numbers, or any financial information
- Your device's precise or approximate location
- Your contacts, call logs, or messages
- Analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry sent to any server
- Advertising identifiers or browsing history
3 Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores a minimal amount of data locally on your device only to improve your experience:
- Favorites / Frequently Accessed Numbers: When you frequently use certain bank helpline numbers, the App remembers them locally so you can reach them faster. This data never leaves your device.
- User Preferences: Simple settings such as your preferred display options are saved locally.
4 Phone Dialer Permission
When you tap a helpline number, the App uses Android's standard phone dialer intent to open your device's dialer app pre-filled with the number. This is a standard Android feature.
The App does not make calls on your behalf, does not read your call history, and does not access your contacts. You always initiate and confirm the call yourself through your device's dialer.
5 Third-Party Services
Bank Guard does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. There are no embedded trackers of any kind.
The App does not make any network requests. No internet permission is required for the core functionality.
6 Children's Privacy
Bank Guard does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Since the App collects no personal data from any user, it is inherently safe for users of all ages. If you believe a child has somehow submitted personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.
7 Data Security
Because Bank Guard collects no personal data and transmits nothing over a network, the security risks associated with data breaches, interception, or unauthorized access to your information are eliminated by design.
The small amount of preference data stored locally is protected by Android's standard application sandboxing security model.
8 Your Rights
Since we do not collect or process any personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, export, or delete on our end.
You can clear all locally stored preferences and favorites at any time by clearing the App's data through your device's Settings → Apps → Bank Guard → Clear Data, or simply by uninstalling the App.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App's features or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Since we have no way to contact you (we collect no contact information), please check back here for updates.
